The International Bodyguard
Network (IBN) has joined with other protection companies worldwide in
creating an organization to create a set of standards for all
professional bodyguards. Any member company or individual has had
credentials verified, and they are who they purport to be and their
website(s) can be trusted. The International Bureau of Bodyguard

of working is very slim.

is the largest international network of bodyguards in the world. It
was established in 1986 and incorporated as an American corporation in
1989. The founder, Jack Bucklin (retired) was the guiding force behind
this company. His experience comprises a vast history that stretches
back for almost a century. Although Jack is 74 years old he is always
available for consultation in the event the company needs his guidance.
He still practices the philosophy of bushido which is the warrior code
of the Samurai. The Samurai were a group of warriors that existed in
Japan in the 12th Century. They swore on their life to protect their
lord. Today's bodyguard is similar to the Samurai in that he exists to
protect his client (lord). Mr. Bucklin is perhaps the most

The second
founding company is the publisher of the most widely sold training

learning school publishes the training program: The Theory of
Non-confrontational Protection. This theory honors the dictum that
if a bodyguard's client ever sees or experiences a confrontation, the
bodyguard will have failed in his most important responsibility.
The theory taught is more valuable than any other in that it teaches the

We, of course, are also living in the era of the Internet which
is the communication miracle of our time. If a Protection Specialist or
Protection Company wants to conduct business or work as an individual it
has reached a point of necessity to keep the Internet a trustworthy
medium.
The IBBS professional members regret, and are aware of the
mistrust that is growing rapidly. Daily we are besieged by unwanted and
unsolicited ALERT BANNERS, Computer Alerts
warning us that our computers are being "taken over." When we open the
"warning" we discover that some company is using fear to sell us
software that will keep our computer from being raided. Internet Users
are frightened by the warnings on "Identity Thefts, Credit Card bandits,
Sexual Predators, and "things that go bump in the night."
MOST OF THIS FEAR AND DISTRUST IS
UNNECESSARY AND PARANOID.
YES, their
may be some danger,
but danger is part of the protection profession we have chosen. Learn
